Carlton Thomas Foster Jr., age 88, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024. He was born on January 30, 1936, in Hawkinsville, GA to the late Red and Mae Foster. Carl was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Wildes, and son-in-law, Lee Robinson. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1957 with a degree in Business, and he went on to work as a Regional Controller for FNMA, Fannie Mae, until his retirement. He was a family man and loved everyone very much. Carl was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan for many years. He also enjoyed cooking and playing the piano. He delivered food for Meals on Wheels, played the piano for churches, and sang in the choir. Carl enjoyed Southern Gospel Music and travelling along with his wife wherever the grandchildren wanted to go. Mr. Foster is survived by his wife of 65 years, Glendol Foster of McDonough, daughters Carla Robinson and Tammy (Mike) Tinley both of Locust Grove, grandchildren Kyle Robinson, Kasey (Braden) Lohr, Kayla (Scott) Duncan and Virginia (Alex Rimmer) Tinley, and one great-granddaughter Audrey Lohr. Those desiring may send contributions to your favorite charity. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, Georgia.
