Mrs. Carole Parker

Carole Rivers Parker passed away on March 19, 2018 at 84, she was born in Hampton, GA on December 17, 1933 to the late Dempsey Rodgers Rivers and Bernice Hilley Rivers, and she was also known lovingly as Toots. Carole retired from the Army & Air Force Exchange Service in 1993. She and her husband Charles Douglas Parker lived on their small farm raising cattle and growing their garden. She was a lifelong member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Doug, and grandson Lee. Surviving are children, Pam Fears of McDonough, Jan Hawkins (John) of Hampton, Pennie Green (Tommy Steele) of Zebulon, grandchildren BJ Hawkins (Trisha) of Tyndall AFB, Florida, Jarrod Hawkins (Andrea) of Cape May, New Jersey, Justin Flynn of Hampton, and Jennifer Green of Zebulon; great grand-children, Landon, Easton, Tristan, Damon, Peyton, and Harley Nikkole; sister, Patricia Walker (Fred), brother, Don Fortune of Hampton, and sisters-in-law Jean Rivers of Hampton, June Echols (Doug) of Hampton, and Carolyn McCarty of Statesboro several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 12:30 until 2:00 PM prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in McDonough.
