

Carolyn Miller Mitchell passed away Sunday morning November 9, 2025, just 4 days short of her 95th birthday. Her grandson Scott remarked that she wanted to spend her birthday with "PawPaw", her beloved husband Bill.
Carolyn was born on November 12,1930 in McDonough, Ga. She graduated from McDonough High School and later attended Georgia College in Milledgeville. She went on to become an executive assistant for a telecommunications company from which she retired. Carolyn was very active in the American Business Women's Association and took great pride in her work.
Carolyn loved traveling with her husband Bill. They made several trips to Alaska and enjoyed traveling the north Georgia mountains with their camper. She loved cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and was a very active member of McKendree United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, Ga for many years.
Carolyn spent her last 9 years living at Benton Village in Stockbridge, Ga. Her family would like to thank the many workers and residents who befriended her and took care of her while she was there. One of the highlights for Carolyn was when Mr. Roberts came to perform for the residents. She loved to get up and dance and everyone looked forward to it.
Carolyn is preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law Ann and Jerry Goodson as well as her beloved husband Bill.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews Lynn (Dennis) White, Karen (Lamar) Chambers, Jack (Debbie) Goodson, Joey ( Lewette) Goodson and Mike Goodson, her stepdaughter Nikki (Bob) Jenkins and many more extended family and dear friends.
A family celebration of Carolyns life will be held at a later date.
