Doug Davidson, 81 of Jenkinsburg passed away at his home on Sunday, February 28, 2021. He was born in Ellijay, Georgia on Wednesday, December 20, 1939. Doug joined the Air Force for two years and had a love of airplanes, old trains and history. He was very mechanical and could fix anything. Doug loved spending time at Lake Hartwell on his boat. He graduated from Rabun County High School in 1957, North Georgia College in 1958 and West Georgia College in 1962. Doug worked for Delta Airlines for 30 years and Lockheed for 1 year. He attended Jonesboro United Methodist Church. Survivors include: children, Ken and Ashley Davidson of Sims, North Carolina, Thomas Davidson of Jenkinsburg, Georgia and Amy and Shane Turner of McDonough, Georgia. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be held at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hampton, Georgia.
