

He was born on November 13, 1936, to the late Charlie and Blanche Hardeman. He lived most of his early years in Fulton County, Georgia in the Buckhead area. After attending North Fulton High School, he worked at Chastain Park Theater Under the Stars. He retired after working for Colonial Food Stores and other grocery store chains in the Atlanta area.
Charles was predeceased by his wife Johnnie LaVerne Nelms Hardeman. He is survived by his children, Kenneth (Kathy) Hardeman, Candice Lynn Hardeman, Christopher Hardeman, and Karen Hardeman Lackey, 4 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great- Great Grandchildren.
He lived most of his adult life in Henry County where he and his wife were very involved in their local church, Church of God of Prophecy. Charles loved His Lord Jesus Christ, singing, animals, fishing and was an avid golfer.
He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and long-term caregivers, Rex and Ramona Nelms.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM preceding the service. A private burial service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Decatur, Georgia.
