Charlie Samuel Brown Jr.

Mr. Charlie S. Brown, Jr, age 91 of Gay, GA, passed away on March 12, 2023. He was born in Americus, GA to the late Charlie Samuel and Virginia Pearl Brown. He is preceded in death by his wife, Annette Brown. They had been married for 67 years when Mrs. Brown passed in 2020. Charlie enjoyed spending time deer hunting with his son, fishing, and gardening in his younger years. He had developed quite a taste for Dunkin Donuts iced coffee while in his assisted living facility making Sunday his favorite day when the coffee and his girls came to visit. Charlie served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1950. Mr. Brown is survived by his children: Charlie (Michelle) Samuel Brown, III of Woodbury, Vickie Holland (John Mullins) of McDonough, and Tina Brown (Kelly Rutledge) of Hampton; grandchildren: Matthew (Kristina) Brown and Kayla Garrett (Tyler); and great granddaughter: Addelynn Brown. He was predeceased by his beloved grandson: Jason Holland, and his siblings, Elizabeth Lawrence, Mary Thompson, and Walter Brown. A graveside service will be held at a later date to honor Mr. Brown as well as his late wife, Annette Brown.
