Mrs. Constance Lorraine "Conie" Sims, age 76 of Hampton, Georgia passed away June 17, 2021. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Allan Duane and Avonelle Melvina Tompkins Forsmoe. Her family moved to Sioux City, South Dakota where she grew up before moving to Georgia in 1969. Over the years, Conie went to cosmetology school and was a hairdresser. She then dabbled in real estate for a couple of years and was a teacher's aide for special needs children and then retired after 28 years with D. J. Services. She was Lutheran by faith and had attended Living Word Lutheran Church. She enjoyed collecting carousels and koala bears and loved horses. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Darryel Sims; daughters, Dana (Troy) Golberg of Ignacio, Colorado and Carrie Ford of McDonough; grandsons, Patrick McCord of Atlanta and Tyler Britton of McDonough; great grandson, Lenyx McCord. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 - 11:00 AM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Conie.
