Courtney Anthony James, age 51, of McDonough, Georgia was reunited with his earthly father Thomas and his heavenly Father on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Courtney can be described in many ways, spending more than 20 years in the transportation industry certainly shows dedication and determination. He was also a quiet giant. A shy, humble, and caring man who would gladly and freely give to anyone in need. Courtney enjoyed Reggae music and contemporary Gospel but especially his role as "Domino Aficionado". A winning game of Dominoes was when Courtney was his loudest ! Those familiar with his homeland of Jamaica will understand describing this consummate provider as "the rat that made sure the cheese was brought home." Courtney was above all things a family man. After 23 years together, his wife Karen shares memories of Courtney with his sons Dwayne and Christopher and daughters Danielle (Terrell), Courtney Aaliyah, and Chloe. He was also blessed with 2 grand children; Dwayne Jr. and Kaliana. Courtney is also survived by his mother Merle, 4 brothers, 5 sisters and his brother-in-business Paul Padilla.
Courtney's family will receive friends at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia on Tuesday September 7, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00PM.
Funeral services will be held at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South Funeral Home in Miami, Florida on Saturday September 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
