Cynthia Velma Arnold

Cynthia V. Arnold, aged 83 went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 1, 2024. She was born on October 21, 1940 to the late William J. Hilley and Estelle V. Hilley. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James D. Arnold; siblings, Barbara Ann Angel, William J. Hilley Jr.; grandson, Justin Mitchell; niece, Jenna Hilley; and son in law, John W. Rouse.

Prior to her death, Cynthia was a Graduate of Columbus High School in Columbus, GA. She was employed by Xerox, Office Technology/Business Solutions where she served as Customer Service Manager for 28 years (July 1970 - July 1998). Living a life full of fun, love and adventures; she was able to travel to some amazing destinations around the world and shared her many experiences with friends and family. Cynthia enjoyed many special interests and hobbies which included spending time with her family and friends, working in her beautiful yard and gardening. She also enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center with friends, putting together puzzles at home, and game days with friends at the church. She loved her Church and church family.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Michael) R. Gibson, Lora Leigh Rouse, Kimberly (Rickie) A. Young; grandchildren, James Patrick Ryan Mitchell, Georgia Rouse, Christopher (Tarrah) S. Sweatt, Jacob Gibson, Jamie Gibson and Makaila Clark; sister-in-law, Judy Hilley; cousin, Marjorie Almond and many nieces and nephews. Cynthia's memory will be eternally cherished as a loving, caring Mother, and Grandmother and Friend to many. Her impact on our lives will forever be profound and enduring.
