Daniel Thomas Benes

Daniel Thomas Benes, age 64, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Daniel was born March 23, 1958 in Chicago, IL to George Benes, Sr. and the late Marilyn Minarcik Benes. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Benes. Dan was a tireless worker and retired after 30 years with Ecolab. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandson. Dan loved to take family trips, yard work and "shooting the breeze". Survivors include his wife of nearly 31 years, Lorraine Benes; daughters, Felicia and Liza Benes, both of Locust Grove; grandson, Nathan Scott; father, George Benes Sr. of Leaf River, IL; siblings, Marian Siniawski of New Lenox, IL, George (Anna) Benes, Jr. of Rothschild, WI and Joan (Dick) Wilson of Bowen, GA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 - 4:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ritchie Miller will officiate. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to Lorraine to assist in paying Dan's considerable medical expenses.
