Daniel Lee Thacker, age 74, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. He was born in Cedartown, Georgia on December 18, 1949 to the late George and Pearl Thacker. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Johnnie Thacker and Dickie Thacker.
Danny was born and raised in Cedartown GA. He had several occupations over his lifetime. Two of his favorites were construction and mechanics. He enjoyed fishing, traveling to the mountains, classic cars, NASCAR and country music.
Danny is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Gail Thacker; children Donald Thacker, Daniel (Karen) Thacker Jr., Ashley (Erick) Schmidt; grandchildren Brianne Thacker, Jaden Thacker; brother Dorsey (Gale) Thacker along with his several nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly.
A visitation for Danny will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
