Born on October 16, 1948, in Villa Rica, Georgia, David lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and a deep love for his family. He had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed working on bikes and cars. David was also known for his trademark black attire, much like Michael Parks from Then Came Bronson. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching them play sports and was proud to cheer them on from the sidelines.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edgar Cantrell and Mary Janelle Brown; his daughter, Cresta Elizabeth Brown; and Amanda Garland Bohach.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Thomas Brown; his brothers, Ricky Cantrell, his wife Sharon; Robert Brown; his sister, Gena Cavender; his sister in law, Athena Brown; his children, David Norman Brown and his wife, Kellie, Thomas Lee Brown and his wife, Shana, Lisa Ann Brown, Brett Anthony Brown and his wife, Bethany, and Ashley Wilson and her husband, Dean; his grandchildren, Brian, Kayla, Nikki, Blaike, Joey, Hannah, Haylee, Tristan, Brysen and Zatanna; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., immediately followed by burial at Locust Grove City Cemetery.
Though he will be deeply missed, David’s legacy lives on through the family he loved deeply.
