

David Frank Jackson, age 76, of Concord, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. His welcome party in Heaven included his parents, Walter M and Gladys W Jackson, his wife of more than 25 years, Pamela Jackson and a precious granddaughter Taylor Gramling.
David served his country proudly as a member of the US Army 83rd Field Artillery, 2nd Field Fire, 1st Battalion in Vietnam from 1967 to 1970 then 3 more years as Army Reserve at Fort Bragg, NC. David would continue serving others as a Firefighter/Paramedic for more than 20 years with the Atlanta Fire Department before retiring from the Morrow Fire Department with 10 more years. He even found time to volunteer with the Stockbridge Fire Department for many years.
David was always active and always had a second job...painting homes, plumber, he owned a gun shop (The Firing Line) from 1980-1990 in Stockbridge and later had a shop in Woodbury where he was known as the Vintage Veteran. He collected guns, knives, Coca Cola memorabilia, antique furniture, antique porcelain/ metal signs, trading cards, coins, etc.
David's love of country and respect for Veterans pales in comparison to his love for his family. His greatest treasures were his children Tonya Jackson, Andrea (Ritchie) Moats, Darlene (Billy) Necessary, Gordon (Sybil) Lew as well as his grandkids Brittany McLeod, Kaley Sheats, Coley Sheats, Gavin Necessary and Blake Necessary and great grandchildren Caden Smith, Jace McLeod.
David is also survived by his Aunt Evie Ruth (Larry) Whitfield, his Concord Baptist Church family and of course his beloved rescue dogs Rosey and Maple.
A visitation will be held Tuesday evening July 15th from 5 pm to 7pm at Haisten Funerals and Cremations in McDonough, Ga. Graveside services will be Wednesday July 16th at 11am at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough, Ga.
