Deborah Hoats-Keiser, 68 of McDonough passed away October 28, 2020. She was born to John and Barbara Cofer in Atlanta, Georgia on February 14, 1952. Her early years were spent in East Point and then the family moved to Panama Canal Zone from 1963 to 1968. Deborah graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1970 and then she studied at Piedmont School of Nursing and Georgia State. She loved her work as a labor and delivery nurse at Northside Hospital for 23 years. Deborah was married to John Hoats from 1973 to 1979 and then she was married to Stephen Keiser from 1991 to 2002. Besides Steve, Deborah is also survived by a son Brandon Hoats of Charleston, South Carolina, a brother, Michael Cofer and his wife, Sharon and their children, Michele and Norma Jean, a sister, Melanie Hitchcock and her children, Kyle and Lindsey, a sister Karen Cole and her children, Jennifer, Jessica, Amanda and Tony and a brother, Jeff Cofer.
