Delmar D Jones

Mr. Delmar D Jones, 99 of Stockbridge passed away February 21, 2020. He was born in Normal, IL on September 22, 1920 to the late Donald and Berniece Jones. Delmar, a WW II Army-Air Force First Lieutenant, was employed as an Aerospace Engineer for McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing. Del is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elise Carter Jones, children, Debra Jones (Mike) Draffin, David Lawrance (Nora) Jones and Donald Carter (Dawn) Jones. Six grandchildren, Claire (Derek) Tichy of Marietta, GA, Scott (Lindsay) Draffin of Buffalo, NY, Michelle Jones of New Haven, CT, Megan Jones, Aubrey Jones and Caylee Jones all of Waxhaw, NC. Two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Madelyn Tichy. He and his wife Elise have been members of Flippen United Methodist Church since 2008. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. Funeral Service for Mr. Jones will be conducted by his Pastor Ken Huff at 2:00pm in our chapel. Military Funeral Honors will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in memory of Del to Flippen United Methodist Church.
