Dear Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Don once during a fund-raising golf-tournament; however, I felt like I knew him well as he was such a good friend/father figure to my brother, Jeff Yates. He was a great upstanding and respected man and know he will be missed by all who knew him. I pray for comfort for the family during this time and in the days ahead. In His name .........

Don and I go back 53 years to the early 1960's when he first came to Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, SC and was assigned to my shop. A tall, skinny friendly kid from Kentucky, he fit right in from the start and we became friends. We had some fun times and he would ccme over to Diane and I's apartment often.
We were happy to see him arrive in Atlanta to work for Delta in the late 60's with Ronna and we took up our friendship right away. Kids and busy family life led us to drift apart, but we would reconnect every once in a while.
Our love, prayers and sincere condolences extend to Ronna and the family in their loss.

Don was the best cook at Delta Airlines and a good friend. Always with a laugh and a smile. He should have been a stockholder in Sonnys BBQ. We will miss him!
