Donna Jones Appell

Donna Jones Appell, age 76, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. She was born in Macon, Georgia to the late David and Gladys Jones. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her father in-law C. Fred Appell and close friend Cindy Boozer.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years Wayne A. Appell; daughter Wendy (Richard) Memmott; grand-daughters Julianna and Marissa DeNicolo; mother in-law Shirley Appell; life time friends Lynne (Tony) Cothron, Terri (Mark) Daniels, Joann (Lyle) Jacobson, and Ish SanJose and family; extended families Carie (Garrick) Parks, Ken (Charlie) Weber, Eddie Boozer, ViJay Patel, Doc Patel and Patel families; and the whole beloved Atlanta South RV community.

Donna was an avid sports fan, could tell you anything about any team, but her absolute favorite was the Green Bay Packers. If she wasn't watching football she was enjoying NASCAR and cheering on her favorite drivers Mark Martin, Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, and Ross Chastain. You could find her at Atlanta South RV Resort office where she enjoyed her work, loved the company of her coworkers, and often got caught up in conversations with the guests. She decorated the office for every season with enthusiasm and could be described as an outgoing, funny, loving, and witty "firecracker." Her favorite part of her work day was hoping on her decorated golf cart and riding around the park. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
