Mr. Earle V. Gavaza, Jr., age 91 of McDonough, Georgia, formerly of Arlington, Washington passed away September 18, 2015. He was born in Malden, MA to the late Earle V. Gavaza, Sr. and Geneva Grace Crawford Gavaza. He was preceded in death by brothers, Harold C. Gavaza and J. Lawrence Gavaza; sister, Geneva McFadden; grandson, Todd Earle Loftin; great granddaughter, Adalia Lois Bischof. He was a member of Glen Haven Baptist Church and a life time member of Gideon’s International. Earle retired in 1986 from Best Lock Corporation. After retirement, he served the Lord he loved in the Gideon Ministry, holding Bible classes in prison and working in the Amazing Grace Fair Ministry. He supported numerous missionaries across the world and was financially instrumental in the building of the new sanctuary at Glen Haven Baptist Church. Earle was also a pilot and enjoyed flying for business and pleasure all over the nation. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Ruth Gavaza; children, Arlyne (Tracy) Bischof of Pheonix, AZ, Judi (Robert) Loftin of McDonough, Kenneth E. (Suzanne) Gavaza of York, SC; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted Monday, September 28, 2015 - 11:00 am at Glen Haven Baptist Church followed by a luncheon in the Legacy Room. Pastor Stan Berrong and Rev. Dan Gavaza will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the Gideon’s International Scripture Fund or Glen Haven Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Earle.
