Mr. Ed Draughon, 89 of McDonough passed away September 19, 2019. He was born November 28, 1929 in Whigham, GA to the late Grady and Exie Walden Draughon. Ed faithfully served his country as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army and was an avid Braves and Dawgs fan. Mr. Draughon is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dixie, his daughter, Rikki (David) Cole of Marietta, four grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. He also has several loving nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law Raymond (Linda) Oakley of Chapel Hill, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the funeral home. The family will meet at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens for a graveside service.

I love you Mama Dixie and I am so sorry for the lost of “Dear Ed”. He was a wonderful man and I have such fond memories of him. So sorry I couldn’t be with you today but I want you to know how much I love you. Prayers for comfort and peace for you and your family.

This is my Dad..there is not enough room to put all the memories..he said all the time "have you checked on your oil in your car" that is what he known for..a caring, loving person.. I love him..
