Eddie Ray Alverson

Eddie Ray Alverson, age 70, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Jim and Velma Alverson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Martha Alverson and his siblings Wanda Alverson, Sammy Alverson, Robert Alverson, and Deborah Alverson.

Eddie is survived by his children Zach (Brittney) Alverson, Corey Rieke, and Josh (Melissa) Rieke; grandchildren Piper and Wyatt Alverson, Madilynn and Abigail Rieke; sisters Barbara (Kent) Brown Brenda Walker and Donna (Russ) Walker; and several nieces, nephews, and beloved family members.

Eddie has been a resident in Henry county for 36 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked with Trend-Pak for many years and took great pride in his job. He enjoyed western films, watching a good Braves game, and spinning records on Friday nights. He took honor in teaching his son how to be a God loving man and father. Martha was the love of his life and his dedication to his marriage lasted his lifetime. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
