Elaine Hobby

Elaine Hobby, age 73, of McDonough, Georgia passed away December 26, 2021. Elaine was born May 15, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Edward Butler and Lois Taylor Jackson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Freeman and a nephew, Leonard Edward Todd. Elaine's family were her top priority, especially her grandchildren. She knew how to enjoy life's simple pleasures, such as a good cup of coffee, a big bowl of ice cream, grits and bacon, attending tea parties, caring for her plants and bird watching. She loved to wear flip flops, getting her nails done, listening to oldies music and the color purple. She and Billy have spent many years working on their '57 Chevy and admiring old cars. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Billy Hobby; children, Joel Hobby and Kristi (Justin) Thomason; grandchildren, McKay Seagraves, Annslyn Thomason and Brinklee Thomason; sister, Betty (Vernon) Waters. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 - 1:00 PM at Eastlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Chris Woodson officiating.
