Eleene Davis

Eleene Davis, age 97, of McDonough, Georgia passed away January 12, 2024. She was born May 19, 1926 in Wheeler County, Georgia to the late Joe Newman and Lola Penelope Warnock O'Quinn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Davis and by six siblings. Eleene was a long time member of the Rock Baptist Church, where she doted on babies for 40 years in the church nursery. She was also on the food committee, where all attendees looked for her chicken and dumplings. She had a servant's heart and loved to cook and spend time in her garden. Survivors include her children, Austin (Dawn) Davis of Fayetteville, Norma (Larry) Adams of McDonough and Don (Jackie) Davis of McDonough; grandchildren, Corie Himstedt, Jonathan Adams, Casey Loudermilk and Luke Davis; ten great grandchildren; siblings, Cora Cheek of Rhine, Georgia and Willard O'Quinn of Glenwood, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 - 2:00 pm in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Rd., McDonough, GA 30252. Friends may visit the family Wednesday from 12:00 - 2:00 pm prior to the service.
