Elizabeth Lavon Lieb

Lavon was born 12/8/1937 in Cumming, Ga, the daughter of James Pruitt and Ruth Jones Pruitt.

Lavon married Theodore Carl Lieb Jr on 6/2/1962. Mr. Lieb was retired military and a police officer. Mr. Lieb passed on 5/1/2006.

Lavon worked in finance most of her life while also raising 2 boys and keeping up the role as a police wife. Lavon retired early to help assist with her Granddaughter and keeping the house.

Lavon especially loved gardening and travel. Lavon always had an array of flowers and plants she tended to and loved “digging in the dirt”. Lavon also loved to travel and talked Mr. Lieb into many road trips to see new places and especially gardens. Lavon, in her later years, enjoyed puzzles and winning Bingo.

Lavon had many “forever friends”, Betty McLemore living, and many that have passed (Bell, Ester, Earl, George, Ted, Frankie, and many more). We imagine they are probably having an amazing reunion and causing a good bit of trouble as we are preparing for our goodbyes.

Remaining to cherish Lavon’s memory are children: Allan Smith and Theodore Carl Lieb III, grandchildren: Isaac Lieb, Blake Lieb, Angie Sosebee; great-grandchildren: Colleen Sosebee, Kyla Sosebee, Carlee Sosebee, and Carter Sosebee

Visitation will be held 1/9/2024 from 5 until 7 at Haisten Funeral Home McDonough, Ga.
