Elsie Angeline McCarter

Mrs. Elsie Angeline (Castellaw) McCarter of Locust Grove, GA passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Elsie was born to the late William and Oree (Hooten) Castellaw. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles McCarter; daughter, Karen Hearn; brother, David Castellaw; daughter in law, Susan McCarter.

Elsie is survived by her sons, Chuck (Misty) McCarter, Scott (Frances) McCarter; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister’s in law, Edna Earl Long, and Pam Castellaw; many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McCarter was a Christian and member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church. She retired from Rich’s department store after 20 years of dedicated service. Elsie loved spending time with her family who she cherished dearly. Memorial services will be held 2pm, Friday, January 13, 2023 at Locust Grove United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Locust Grove United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Locust Grove City Cemetery.
