Eva Faye Meek

She was born in Bessemer AL to George and Annie Jo Carrol June 6, 1941. In 1961 she married Frank Meek (Sr.) and moved to Birmingham AL before settling in Montgomery AL. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage prior to Frank passing.

Eva Faye was a dedicated wife and mother, filling roles as team mother for her sons baseball teams, Cub Scout Den Mother, Sunday School teacher, choir member at her local church, and stay at home mom. Later in life she worked at John Knox Nursing Home in Montgomery AL as an administrative assistant.

Eva Faye was preceded in death by her parents, George and Annie Jo Carrol, husband Frank Meek Sr., and son Ronald Edward Meek.

She is survived by her son, Frank Meek Jr. (LeeAnn) of Locust Grove GA, grandchildren Dorian Brown (Chris) of Jackson GA, Owen Meek (Danielle) of Huntsville AL, 3 great grandchildren, Piper, Syrus and Sylvie.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 26, 2026 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough GA 4 – 6 PM, followed on Thursday May 28 with a graveside service at Alabama Heritage in Montgomery AL at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers Eva Faye requested that donations be made in her memory to St. Judes Children’s Hospital. www.stjude.org
