Franklin Lee Mullins, age 73, of McDonough, GA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 12, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents Ed and Lenora “Mo” Mullins, his wife of 51 years Gail Mullins, and older brother Edgar “Jr” Mullins.
He is survived by sister Joyce James of Conyers, sister and brother-in-law Jan and Bobby Gassmann of Pine Mountain, his son and daughter-in-law Brian and Mandy Mullins of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law Chad and Lauri Mullins of Stockbridge, and daughter and son-in-law Lendy and Chris Boozer of Lawrenceville, 9 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids.
Lee retired from Atlanta Gas Light after 44 years with the company. During his career he was involved with Habitat for Humanity and was a volunteer during the 1996 Olympics. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Georgia Bulldogs (when they would win). In retirement he volunteered with Meals on Wheels and started playing pickleball, which he loved.
Most important to Lee was his faith and family. He and his wife Gail were legacy members of Trinity Family Worship Center and he was an elder for 20 years.
He liked his sweets after a meal and would also enjoy a good ole glass of sweet tea.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Trinity Family Worship Center on
Friday August 19th at 11am
located in Hampton, GA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your local Humane Society, the V Foundation, or any church/charity that is important to you in memory of Lee.
