Fred Dominick

Fred C. Dominick, Jr. age 84, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023. He was born in Newberry, S.C. on August 10, 1938 to the late Fred and Ophelia Dominick. Fred was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Williams and his son, Stuart Dominick. He enjoyed fishing, collecting farm bells, working in the yard and having lunch with fellow workers. Mr. Dominick worked for GFA Transport for 8 years, Roadway Express for 28 years and as a bus driver with Henry County for 20 years. He also worked on the grounds at Phillips Drive Baptist Church in Forest Park. Wherever Fred went he knew someone, he loved talking to people and never met a stranger. Mr. Dominick is survived by his wife of 65 years, Merilyn, his son Richard of Locust Grove, two grandchildren Heather (Kevin) Nodhturft of Elberta, AL and Janelle Dominick of Colorado Springs, CO and two great granddaughters, Kennedy and Madilyn. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm - 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. Services will follow at 1:00pm in our chapel and burial will be held at Locust Grove City Cemetery. Those desiring may send contributions to Grace Baptist Church.
