Frederick Anthony Buckley

Frederick Anthony Buckley, age 63, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at his Hampton home with his family by his side. He was born on March 30, 1960 in St. Catherine, Jamaica to Alrick Buckley and Esevia Jones.

Frederick grew up in Manchester and St. Catherine, he graduated from Old Harbour vocational training school with a diploma in Electrical Installation. He spent several years of his life working in manufacturing and retired from Henry County Water & Sewer Authority after 15 years of service.

He migrated to the United States at age 26. In February 1987, he married his high school sweetheart Grace Tabannah. Fred enjoyed being outside and working a lot with his hands doing various activities with his grandchildren at his side. When he wasn’t gardening or doing yard work, he enjoyed watching ladies’ basketball “UCONN”, watching Track & Field, and most of all watching Horse Racing. He also had a love for playing soccer. He was a constant tinker; he was the handyman around the house and whenever anyone needed his help, whether it be plumbing, electrical or cars, he was willing to jump in but absolutely no HVAC work. “Poppa” as his grandkids call him loved to take the kids on road trips to the beach and the racetrack. He loved travelling by either air or sea.

He is preceded in death by his father Alrick Buckley and sister Valerie Morgan.

Frederick is survived by his mother, Esevia Jones; his beloved wife, Grace Buckley; his children, Kamala Buckley, Shadion (Regan) Buckley, Jaryn (Kirstin) Buckley, Derianne (Ryas) Buckley; grandchildren, Khloe Buckley, Liam Buckley, Lennon Buckley, Aveah Singletary, Karson Buckley, Chase Reese, Riley Reese; siblings, Maureen Buckley, Kenroy ( Stephanie) Sergeant, Alando Copeland, Juliet (Dwayne) Bernard, Karen Shaw, Sharon Gentles, Everton Daily , Sandra Scott, Nadine (Damon) Andersen, Damion Hyde and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A memorial service for Frederick will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253.
