Glenda Ann Ferguson

Glenda Buffington Ferguson passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025 at her home in Locust Grove. A Celebration of her life will be held Thursday, June 19,2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Haisten Funerals and Cremations in McDonough, GA

Glenda was born in Gainesville, GA in 1950. She was a 1968 graduate of Gordon High School in Decatur, GA where she enjoyed spending time with close friends. There she met the love of her life Don. They married shortly after graduation and soon began their family. This included the unconditional and everlasting love she showed to her children Keith and Kelly on a daily basis.

Glenda began her career in the financial industry and retired as Vice President from the United Methodist Connectional Federal Credit Union. After retirement Glenda loved decorating her home for every holiday, Christmas being her favorite.

An excellent cook, she was known for her Cole Slaw which everybody loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents Douglas Buffington and Mary Seabolt along with her beloved husband Don and fur babies Jax, Peanut and Bob. She is survived by her children Keith (Tonya) Ferguson and Kelly Ferguson, her fur babies Bailey and Rip, her brother Wayne (Becky) Buffington. Also surviving are her grandchildren Taylor (Casey) Goodenow and Kendall Minshew as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended dear and close lifelong friends.

Glenda was a special person to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
