Glenda Thomas

Glenda Thomas, age 73 passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 in McDonough, GA. She was born in Milledgeville, GA to the late Horace Grace and Hattie Parks. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her one true love, husband Larry Thomas, and her brother Glenn Grace.

Glenda is survived by sister Jean Grace (Mike) Giles of Milledgeville, GA; sister-in-law Dinah Cooper Grace of Unadilla, GA; nieces and nephews Donna Grace Beard of Eastman, GA, Christie Giles of Statesboro, GA, Allison Giles of Milledgeville, GA, and Stephen (Leah) Grace of Melbourne, FL; great nieces and nephews Chelsea Beard (Levi) Simmons of Danielsville, GA, Christopher Mullis of Forsyth, GA, and Timothy Giles of Statesboro, GA; pet Rocket who she loved so much and several other beloved family members.

Glenda was adventurous and loved to travel, to go kayaking, and socializing. She enjoyed bowling and had many friends she'd bowl with. She loved a good cup of coffee and animals. Most of all Glenda loved helping those in need and loving on her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local animal shelter, the ASPCA, or Saint Jude’s Children Hospital in honor of Glenda’s love for animals and children.

A visitation for Glenda will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
