To Keith's family, please accept my condolences and apology for not speaking sooner.  I just found out that Keith has passed and am so sad and shocked.  Although we didn't stay in touch after graduating Keith and I were good friends and teammates all through highschool and summer league baseball.  

Plug was a true friend and I have many great memories of good times we had hanging out and playing ball.  Again, I'm so sorry for your loss and know that he will live on in our memories.

This is the third time I’ve come to this page to write about my sweet “bonus dad”. The first 2 times I just started crying and couldn’t do it so I’m trying again! I’ve always called Plug, “Ninja” which is an entire other story. Ninja did something he didn’t have to, him and Mama D took me into their home and their hearts to love forever. We spent countless days and nights sitting on the back porch or the living room just talking and listening to his wild stories. I thank God for giving me not only Ninja, but the entire Jones family. I got 2 extra parents, 2 sister, 2 brothers, and also a niece and nephew. Blood couldn’t make these people more of my family. Ninja will be missed by so many but the memories we all shared with him will go on forever. We love you, Ninja! Now you’re free

My heart breaks for the loss of a man I never personally met. Although I would have loved to, I didn't "have" to meet him. I saw what kind of man he was by the way he treated my daughter. He treated her as his own child. He allowed her to spend countless days/nights at his house, he fed her, he probably needed/wanted to whoop her a few times. More importantly,  he loved my daughter, and, she loved him.  The entire Jones family is my own family, in my eyes.  I pray for peace for all of you and that the memories of Keith/Plug will offer comfort at this time and in the future. 

One of my favorite memories of Plug was a baseball game at Heritage High School in 1978.  He hit a fly ball over the outfielders head and it just rolled and rolled because there was no outfield fence.  He turned what should have been an inside the park homerun into a triple!  Keep in mind that he was not that fleet of foot....but in this case he practically ran out of his pants!  By the time he got to third base, they were below his knees!  He made every game an event to remember!  Thanks for the memories Plug!
