Herb Nash

Mr. Herman “Herb” R. Nash Jr., of Conyers, GA passed away December 29, 2014. Herb was born in Dacula, GA the son of the late Herman R. Nash Sr., and Virginia Hill Nash. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Lance Nash and son, Rory Nash. Herb was a man of strong faith who deeply loved his wife and family. He was a man of integrity, honor and loyalty with a kind and generous spirit and servant’s heart. He was known for always helping others. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In his past time he enjoyed working in the yard. He served his country in the US Air Force. Herb graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA, he worked for Georgia Federal Bank first as a home appraiser and later as VP of Loan Servicing. After retirement he worked with Rockdale County Tax Assessors as an appraiser. Herb was a member of Conyers First Baptist Church and previously a member of Eagles Landing First Baptist Church for many years. Survivors are his loving wife, Cindy Nash, of 35 plus years; children, Sandy Nash of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Pam Piacente of Duluth and Windy Blair (Peter) of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Eva Blair, Nicholas, Victor, and Moriah Piacente; sister, Barbara Power (Mike) of Athens; and niece, Michele Stancil (Elmer) of Atlanta. Funeral service for Herb will be on Friday, January 2, 2014 – 2:30 PM at Eagles Landing Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Burt and Rev. Tim Dowdy officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from from 12:00 – 2:00 prior to the service.
