

Harold was born in 1930 in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Mae Edwards Dorsey and Charles Lee Dorsey. He proudly served his country in the National Guard for six years. In 1953, he married the love of his life, Louise Helton Dorsey. Together they shared 66 years of marriage before Louise's passing in 2019.
Harold began his career with Norfolk Southern Railway in 1950 and faithfully served the company for 37 years. He retired in 1987 as a Shift Manager in the Computer Center. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication to his family, and quiet strength.
Harold was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise Helton Dorsey; his son, Craig Nowell Dorsey; his siblings, and his parents, Mae Edwards Dorsey and Charles Lee Dorsey.
He is survived by his son, Stanley Harold Dorsey (Terri Dorsey); his daughter, Louise Lynn Whitworth (Reginald Whitworth); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Ryan Dorsey and Matthew Charles Whitworth; his great-grandson, Dylan Eli Dorsey; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Harold was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His life was a testament to devotion, perseverance, integrity, and love for those closest to him. The memories he created and the values he instilled will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
Harold will be laid to rest beside his beloved Louise in a private family service
