Uncle Herbert was a gentleman in every respect; and "classy" as they come. He had a dry sense of humor and was a big teaser with the children.

My Mother, Moselle Phillips (his sister), admired how he took every opportunity to improve his life with his hard working ethics.

His memory will remain forever in our hearts and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

God bless Donna and her family as she has been so faithful to take care of him.

Uncle Herbert always had a smile on his face! Though our family lived hundreds of miles away we felt as close and loved as if we lived just down the street. Uncle Herbert and Aunt Catherine made each visit we made special.
I keep those memories in my heart to this very day!
He was a kind and dear man. A man my father respected and loved as a brother.
I know he will be missed by all who love him.
Heaven rejoices to receive him!

Mr. Hicks was a pleasant man who I met during my church's visitations to Golden Crest. We found out he liked Frostees so we always took him one. He would tell me about the old days when he owned barber shops. It feel blessed to have known him.
