Mr. Herman Ray Harper, Sr. 84, of McDonough passed away March 31, 2019. He was an avid outdoorsman and worked as a printer his entire career. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Ida Johnson Harper, children Ray (Beth) Harper, Jr., Tony (Debbie) Harper, Michael (Tammy) Harper, Lisa (David) Morris, Sherry (Rob) Simpson and Mark Harper. 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, brother Gary (Brenda) Armistead, sister Patricia Armistead, sister Brenda (James) Garner and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Joshua's Place in Jackson, GA with Pastor Rick Moncrief officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
