Hilda (Boll) Ryniker, 68, passed away peacefully at home in McDonough, Georgia, on Friday, February 20, 2026, after a four-year battle with lung cancer. She fought the disease with the same grit and stubborn strength that defined her life.
Born on August 16, 1957, in Manhasset, New York, Hilda was the fourth child of Anneliese Boll. She spent most of her life in Southern California before making her home in McDonough, where she lived for the past 25 years.
Hilda was, first and always, a devoted mother. As a stay-at-home mom during her children’s early years, she cultivated a home filled with warmth, laughter, and potential. She loved family fiercely and took on her roles as sister and daughter with pride. She worked in the construction and retail industries, earning her California General Contractor’s License and building three houses, a testament to her determination and skill. Most recently, she enjoyed her work at Lowe's and treasured her role as “Omy,” which brought her endless pride and joy in retirement.
She and her husband, Allen Ryniker, were married for 43 years. Together they built a life marked by resilience, loyalty, and love, raising three children and walking hand-in-hand through whatever life threw at them.
Known for her sincerity, dependability, and straightforward nature, Hilda had a gift for delivering hard truths with humor and love. She lived loudly and enthusiastically, never shrinking from what she believed in. She found happiness in long walks on the beach, hunting for a good deal, Hershey’s Syrup over vanilla ice cream, and a perfectly brewed cup of coffee.
Hilda is survived by her husband, Allen; her children, Richard, Sarah, and Adam; her siblings, Rudy and Angie; and a multitude of family and friends who will miss her deeply. Her voice, her laughter, and her unmistakable honesty will echo in the lives she shaped.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Haisten Funerals & Cremations. Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Hilda by donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and speaking your mind, standing up for what you believe in, and loving people fiercely, just as she did.
