Howard Dixon Bowles

Howard Dixon Bowles, age 91, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Ellsworth and Evelyn Bowles. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son David Bowles and brothers Bill, Freddy, and Mike Bowles.

He is survived by his wife Katie Bowles; children Chris (Kimberly) Bowles and Brian Bowles; grandchildren Joshua (Morgan) Bowles, Ryan Bowles, and Mallory Bowles; great granddaughters Leah Rose Bowles and Mila Grace Bowles; brother K.O. Bowles and many other beloved family members.

Howard loved his wife and family dearly. He also loved the outdoors, especially hunting. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He attended Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church where he shared his love for the Lord and extended his friendliness to many in his community. Howard was a good husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, son and friend. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Howard will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00 PM in the Haisten chapel. After services his burial will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Rd, McDonough, Georgia 30253.
