

Born on February 2, 1948, in Clinton, South Carolina, Matt was the son of Hugh and Wilma Brock. He grew up with a strong sense of duty and faith that would guide him throughout his life. He served his country with honor as a United States Marine—an identity he carried proudly throughout his life. Semper Fi.
Matt’s deep love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Cindy Angel Brock; his children Jane Ellen Shumate, Sam Rossi, Ashley Angel Mullinax (Josh), and Matthew Brock (Shanna); and his daughter-in-law Regina Rossi. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Jackson Sherrod, Luci Sherrod, Stephanie Rathvon, Taylor Rossi, Gavin Rossi, Marcie Doane, Brock Mullinax, Jackson Mullinax, Tyler Griswell, and Madilyn Brock. He also leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Sophia Philmon. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jeffrey Brock.
Matt had a passion for the outdoors and lived life to the fullest. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found peace and joy in nature’s quiet moments, passions he passed down to his children and grandchildren.He also loved the open road and was often seen riding his Harley with pride and freedom.
A true man of faith who loved the Lord deeply, Matt’s spiritual strength was a cornerstone of his character. His unwavering belief guided him through life’s challenges and inspired those around him.
To know Matt was to be welcomed into an enormous extended “family.” He treated everyone like family—offering warmth, loyalty, and generosity without hesitation.
May the memory of Matt “Tic-tac” Brock bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well-lived in service to others and to God.
A visitation will be held at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, located at 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253, on October 13, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the same location on October 14, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm.
The committal service will occur at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Rd, McDonough, Georgia, 30253, on October 14, 2025.
