Irene was born in Mooresville, NC, the daughter of the late Hubert Crayton and Mabel Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Crayton; her son, Michael Everett McBee; and her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert Roy McBee “Mac.”
Irene enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing cards. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors are her granddaughters, Andrea McBee (Matthew) and Natalie McBee, both of McDonough, GA; her daughter-in-law, Mellissa McBee of McDonough, GA; and her great-granddaughters, Raylynn and Everlee.
A gathering will be at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, located at 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA, 30253, on January 10, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
