

Jack Weldon Sullivan was born on August 29, 1944, to Alfred T. and Evelyn Olene (Davies) Sullivan in Griffin, GA. He lived in Hampton, GA until the age of 7, his family moved to Hapeville, GA where he lived until 1980.
Although he’d known his wife all his life as they were raised together and played together as children, they met as adults in 1980, married on April 3rd, 1981 and enjoyed 44 loving years of matrimony in Hampton. He passed peacefully at home on the evening of October 22, 2025 surrounded by his Family.
Jack worked at Owens Illinois Glass in Hapeville for 48 years, having retired in August 2011. He enjoyed spending time with family, working in the yard, his John Deere tractor, and riding on his mower.
He is survived by his Wife, Iris Barnett Sullivan, Daughters, Denise Wheeler and Karen Gann, Sisters Evelyn Hainey, Linda (Mitch) Kennedy, Niece Dayna Kennedy, Grandchildren Forrest (Jessica) Murphy, Robby (Lauren) Alexander, Charlie (Ashton) Alexander, Tamika Bryant (Clinton Conner), and Justin David-Ray Gann (Rhianon Mangan), Great Grandchildren Bryce, Shayden, McKinley, Brantley (D), Brayden, Koltyn, Charlotte and Jack. To his children, grand and great grandchildren and many others he was and will always be Papa Jack.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother David A. Sullivan of Hapeville, and son-in-law Ernest E. Wheeler.
His most endearing saying and what his loved ones will fondly remember him for was his constant invitation to “come on over to the house and we’ll cook a hot dog on the grill.”
A visitation will be held at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, located at 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA, 30253, on October 28, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A committal service will follow at Flippen Cemetery, 3707 Jodeco Rd, McDonough, GA, 30253, on October 28, 2025, at 3:00 pm.
