James Randall Mason

He was born October 22, 1948 in Griffin, Georgia to the late James Worthy (JW) Mason and Margie Sims Mason. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Leigh Pirtle.

Randall graduated from Henry County High School in McDonough, Georgia in 1966 and graduated from North Georgia Technical College in Clarksville, Georgia. He worked as an electrician by trade until his retirement in 2016. He enjoyed playing golf with his golf friends and watching his favorite college football team, The Georgia Bulldogs. He was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church and the Searchers Sunday School Class.

Randall was a loving, wonderful, Christian husband, father, Paw-Paw and Great Paw-Paw. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan Cleveland Mason; daughters, Amy Mason Elrod and Karmon S. Babb; son in law, Marc Pirtle; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Sandy Mason Sherwood; brothers in law and sisters in law, Jerry and Mary Cleveland and Jim and Sandra Cleveland Turner; several nieces and nephews, other loved ones and friends. He loved his best friend, Xena, his grand dog.

Randall's golf friends will be serving as honorary pallbearers.

Graveside services are to be held at the McDonough City Cemetery on November 9, 2021 - 2:00 PM. Pastor Adam Ganong will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund, McDonough, Georgia. Randall asked that everyone dress casually and comfortable.
