James "Aut" Autry Rowe

James "Aut" Autry Rowe passed away on October 22, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born on August 31, 1942 in Iaeger, West Virginia to the late Irvin and Polly Rowe. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jim Rowe and his four siblings, Curtis Rowe, Janice Chandler, George Rowe and Charlotte Lily. Aut enjoyed fishing and the Atlanta Braves. He also loved playing in the mountains and rivers as a child with his siblings. He often wished he could go back to those days. Aut is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lydia Evelyn, daughter, Mary (Alan) Kirkland of Williamson, three grandchildren, Trae (Ashley) Rowe, Ariana Rowe and Maegan Rowe, and six great grandchildren, Alyssa Kown, Savannah Rowe, Riley Rowe, Jaycie Smith, Victoria Rowe and Addyson Rowe, one sister, Linda Farrell of Griffin and one special niece, Tizra Dozier. Services will be held at 2:00pm on October 27, 2025 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior. A committal service will be held at Berea Cemetery, located in Hampton, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please contact Mary Kirkland.
