James "Paul" Steadham

James “Paul” Steadham of Locust Grove, Ga passed away peacefully on March 6th, 2025. Paul was born on September 22,1948 in Blount’s Co. Alabama and was a Veteran of the US Army serving proudly in Vietnam and retired after 36 years from the Atlanta Gas Light Company. He is survived by his daughter, Becky McGouirk, granddaughter, Lexi McGouirk, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marsha Steadham and several other family members.

Paul loved fishing, growing his garden and playing and coaching softball at the Atlanta Gas Light Co, where he led numerous teams over the years to several championships. He also took a lot of pride in his home-grown tomatoes and loved sharing them with family and friends. Even sometimes giving up his gardening secrets to others. He also enjoyed watching football and cheering on his GT Yellowjackets! Paul was very devoted to his family and friends and will be missed. Graveside service will be held for family and friends on March 16th at 3pm at Locust Grove Municipal Cemetery.
