Janet Elizabeth Cook, age 65, of Porterdale, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. She was born on February 25, 1960 in El Paso, Texas to the late Willard James Ellis and Norma Ruth Colvin Ellis. Janet was also preceded in death by her husband, James David Cook and her siblings Willard Jr., Beverly, Vincent, Julia and Norman. Janet enjoyed being outdoors in her garden, taking care of her cats, watching cartoons, listening to Bad Company, having some candy and a Coca-Cola, she loved to make people laugh ,and had a love and passion for clowns. "Rocket" is survived by her children; Thomas Truman of Brooklet, GA, Cindy (Lee) Hamilton of Cartersville, GA and Jennifer Revell of Ellabell, GA, grandchildren; Cameron, Michael, Jacob and Landon and one great granddaughter; Aurora. Two sisters; Sharon (Bill) Jacobs of Savannah, GA and Susan Sherrell of Porterdale, GA. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm - 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Haisten Funerals and Cremations in McDonough, Georgia.
