Janet Gayle Fitzmayer, 80, of Jackson, Ga passed away at the Piedmont Newton Hospital on January 24, 2025 of symptoms related to diabetes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irma and Caperton Shouse, her husband Robert Anthony Fitzmayer and daughter Elizabeth Marie Fitzmayer. She is survived by her additional 11 children Jeffrey Robert Fitzmayer, Ronald Paul Fitzmayer, Stephen Carl Fitzmayer, Margaret Teresa Fitzmayer, Dorthy Francis Fitzmayer, John Patrick Fitzmayer, Matthew Leon Caperton Fitzmayer, Robert Gabriel Fitzmayer, Katherine Suzzanne Fitzmayer, Amanda Rebecca Fitzmayer, Jennifer Caroline Fitzmayer, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. After spending almost 2 decades raising her children, she later became a school bus driver and tax preparer for several years. Her friendly smile will be sorely missed by all of her family and friends. A memorial gathering will be held by Jennifer Fitzmayer at her place of residence in Jackson, Ga on March 29 between 2 pm and 5 pm. An additional gathering will be held in early summer in Colorado.
