Janet Marie Woods

Mrs. Janet Marie Woods, age 65 of Jackson, Georgia passed away April 1, 2018. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late William L. and Myra L. Gazaway Phillips. Jan was a member of the former Gleaners Baptist Church in Atlanta. She had worked for Henry General Hospital for six years and was a self- employed crafter. She enjoyed painting, gardening and arranging flowers. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Bill Woods; sons, Brad (Terri) Woods of McDonough, Ryan (Rachael) Woods of Monticello and Brent (Amber) Woods of Jackson; grandchildren, Kayla (Drew) Patterson, Kelsey, Tanner, Autumn, Jake, Jasop, Rykin, Rutger and Rexie Woods; great grandchildren, Jett and Averee Patterson; siblings, Gale (Tim) Trusty of McDonough, Pamela (Steve) Vasser of Stockbridge and Brian Phillips of Stockbridge; sister in law, Carol Woods of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 – 2:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
