Mrs. Janot Leigh Sauerbrey, age 85 of McDonough, formerly of Decatur Georgia passed away December 22, 2018. She was born in Murray, Kentucky to the late Leon and Rubine Grogan Smith. Janot received a Bachelor's in English from Auburn University. She was a member of Greater Atlanta Christian Church and she enjoyed gardening. She volunteered at the DeKalb Medical Center for many years. Survivors include her children, Karl Sauerbrey of McDonough, GA, Gayla (Paul) Garrard of Eagle River, AK and Greta Steber of Ft. Collins, CO; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A committal service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 - 12:30 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery.
