Jason "Jay" Andrews, 62 of Jackson passed away July 10, 2020. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 14, 1957 to Buddy Andrews and Patricia Miller. Jay was an avid bass fisherman and hunter. He loved spending time with his family and camping with his loving wife of 30 years. Jay also loved Southern rock and collected guitars. He retired from Georgia DOT after 32 years of service; however, everyone thought he'd missed his calling as a comedian. Jay was so funny and loved to make everyone laugh! Jay and Regina are members of Rock Springs Church in Milner. Jay is survived by his wife of 30 years, Regina, children, Mindy (Zack) Hammond of Leesburg, GA, John Travis Andrews and Angela Steinmetz of Barnesville, father, Buddy Andrews of McDonough, sister, Jody (John) Pelt of Griffin, brother, Tim (Donna) Andrews of Atlanta and grandchildren, Hutson and Anna. A visitation for Jason will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Rock Springs Church in Milner, Georgia from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Dr. Benny Tate officiating.
