Mr. Jeff Barber, 79 of McDonough passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at his home. He was born in Buchanan, Georgia on February 18, 1942 to the late Willie Barber and Louise Garner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Sandra Ellen Alexander and their daughter, Connie Maddox. Jeff attended Russell High School in East Point. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, tractor pulls, NASCAR, DAWGS football and playing cards. Jeff owned Jeff Barber's Grocery in Hampton for over 20 years and Hampton Car Wash for about 20 years. Mr. Barber is survived by his son, David Wayne Barber of McDonough, grandchildren, Brandi (Clifford) Berry of Hampton, Hannah Kilcrease of Griffin and Amber (Brandon) Maddox of Griffin. His brother, Eddie Hopper of McDonough and his sister-in-law, Linda Hopper of Hampton. Three great grandchildren, Aubri Barber, Emalyn Berry and A.J. Bell. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00pm on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. Chuck Conkle will officiate the funeral at 1:00pm on Thursday in our chapel. Burial will follow at Berea Cemetery in Hampton.
