Mr. Jefferson Franklin "Frank" Stewart, 86, of McDonough passed away January 20, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Newton County, Georgia on January 8, 1935 to Ray and Thelma Stewart. Frank was Valedictorian of the class of 1953 at Newton County High School and graduated from Georgia Tech in 1957 with a degree in textile science. After college he was a proud member of the US Army. Frank joined Dundee Mills in September 1960 as a textile designer for 37 years before joining 1888 Mills in 1997 where he retired in 2017 after 20 years. Everyone that knew Frank loved him and he treasured the times he spent with friends and family. He was an avid painter and music lover. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Penny Stewart, his son, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Stewart of Griffin, brother, Charles (Diane) Stewart of McDonough, a granddaughter, Mia Swanson, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
